Nippers
Nippers are held each Sunday, unless there is a Junior Carnival.

Nipper Info BookletFor the Under 8 to Under 14 members, regular events such as a Run, a Long or short swim, a wade for Under 8s, Board and Flags will be conducted, with the emphasis being on learning Surf Life Saving skills and having fun. Points are awarded every Sunday for places 1 to 6.
Nippers attending on a Sunday are awarded 1 point for every event completed, that goes towards the end of the year pointscore.
Under 6 and Under 7 Nippers
For Under 6 and Under 7 Nippers, Avoca Nippers do a run, flags, wades, and board (dependent on conditions). The emphasis here is on having fun and learning to work and move with the water. No pointscore is kept, but each child will receive an award at the end of the Nipper year at presentation.
Junior Carnival.
Only registered, financial, proficient (8+) and therefore insured members are able to participate.
Team Selection
Selection for teams (Wade Relay/Sprint Relay/Surf Team/Board Relay/Cameron/Board Rescue/All Age Board/All Age Sprint) at carnivals has become increasingly difficult due to Avoca now becoming a strong club with fantastic kids. We encourage all kids to participate in as many activities at carnivals and we will do our best to get as many kids into teams as we possibly can.
