Meet our new youth officer

Mia Jamal, our new Youth Officer

We’d like to Welcome Mia Jamal to the role of Youth Officer of ABSLSC. As most of you will know, Mia was the Junior Life Saver of the Year for NSW last year.  She is a proud Avoca local and been through Nippers since U6s until completing U14s last season.

The Youth Officer role is aimed to focus on engaging with, and retaining, our Youth Members between the ages of 13-17, especially the Youth that may not be as interested in competition. There is a wealth of opportunities for our Youth in Surf Life Saving that we haven’t always done a great job of communicating, so we’re super excited to have Mia in this role, representing the club at SLS Youth Events on the coast and bringing together more of our 13-17 year old members to ensure they feel part of our future of our club.
