Strengthening Our Fleet, Celebrating a Life Member

On Sunday 28 September we celebrated the launch of our new surfboat, made possible through the generosity of Mark and Evette Moran.

In recognition of his outstanding service and unwavering commitment, the new surfboat has been dedicated to our much-loved and respected Life Member, Andy Hoban. Over the years, Andy has been a driving force in the club, from mentoring younger members to leading by example on and off the water and his contribution to surf lifesaving has left a lasting legacy.

Congratulations, Andy, on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for your decades of dedication to Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club and the wider surf lifesaving movement. We also extend our sincere thanks to Mark and Evette Moran, whose generosity has made this milestone possible, giving our rowers a valuable boost and strengthening our club spirit.
