Keeping children and you people safe at nippers, at the beach and in our club is a top priority. One way we do this is by making sure we appropriately train and vet people who work and volunteer closely with kids. Here’s our policy on WWCC.
Surfsports is hands on and to keep kids safe means we need all the volunteers we can get. Although you can volunteer for a few days without a WWCC, they are free and easy to get! Here’s the link - https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-for-a-working-with-children-check
The reality is we need many days of volunteer time over a season. I am available to help anyone get the WWCC if they are having issues.
I’m also looking for someone to help me in the Child Safe/Member Protection space. Please let me know if interested.
